This little piggie went to the Market Hotel

Now, being that I live in Barcelona, don’t expect many hotel reviews. What I can give you is mostly second hand from friends and family who came to visit. Having said that, I often choose hotels for people, so I get a chance to check them out beforehand, just as I did with this one.

On a recent visit to Barcelona some friends stayed at the Market Hotel, a rather cool and trendy Hotel and Restaurant near the Mercat de Sant Antoni. The location is central, just 10 minutes walk from Plaza Universitat and near to metro stations Poble Sec, Mercat St. Antoni and Urgell.

The Market is both a hotel and a restaurant and breakfast is included in the price. The rooms are actually in a converted flat two floors above the ground-floor restaurant. They are nicely decorated and light - one particular advantage is that they are adjacent to a quiet side-road, rather than a main street, so the atmosphere is ness noisy.
